Grenade explodes in German waste shredder

A British grenade from World War II in a German waste shredder exploded at a recycling company in Schleswig-Holstein.

The grenade is probably with other waste ended up at the recycling company, police said in the night from Thursday to Friday. No one was injured.

Research showed that it is a burnt shell of about 30 centimeters long, with a 10 centimeter thick mantle.

Where the grenade came from is unknown.
