Green light for Cambridge Analytica

The most important British privacy regulator has invaded the London offices of the Cambridge Analytica company, which is at the heart of the information scandal at Facebook.

It would be about twenty researchers who entered the offices in the center of London. The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) supervisor was granted permission by a judge to take a raid shortly before and said he would take action quickly. According to ICO, the searches are only part of a broader investigation into the case.

Data processing company Cambridge Analytica would have used personal data from millions of Facebook users without permission to make voter profiles in the United States. This has tried to influence the voting behavior of people. Incidentally, a former Cambridge Analytica employee told British newspaper Guardian that the company also provided services to a group that was in favor of the brexit.

The scandal is also being investigated in the US and Israel. The abuse has led to fierce criticism from politics and clarification has been demanded. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has apologized and promised improvement.
