Greek real estate popular with Turks

More and more Turks to buy houses or land in Greece, in order to hedge against the uncertain political situation in their own country.

According to Greek law, any foreigner can obtain a residence permit purchases for at least 250 000 real estate in Greece and therefore in the European Union.

'They feel at home here in Greece,' said Dimitris Voyatzis, a broker in Glyfada, his Turkish customers. 'They come mainly from Istanbul and Izmir and feel culturally closely associated with the West. '
