Great crack in volcano Hawaii

The US seismological service USGS warns of new eruptions of the Kilauea volcano on Hawaii.

The eruption of the 1,200-meter-high Kilauea began more than two weeks ago. Since then, more than a thousand people have been evacuated and at least 26 houses have been destroyed by the lava flows. The volcano is one of the most active in the world. It is a so-called shield volcano. If it erupts, the lava can not only flow out of the crater, but also come to the surface in other places via underground cracks.
