Gravity wave discovered

Scientists have discovered a so-called gravitational wave in space for the sixth time.

The measurement was announced on Thursday. This time it was a rather small vibration. It originated because two black holes fused together. One of them was twelve times as heavy as the sun, the other seven times as heavy. Together they formed a new black hole that is eighteen times as heavy as the sun. The rest was hurled into the universe.

The gravitational wave was measured on the early morning of 8 June. The new black hole is about a billion light-years away from the earth. It is the lightest vibration of black holes so far.
