Germany seeks cooperation against burglaries

Police forces in three German states want to cooperate more with the Dutch and Belgian police against the growing number of burglaries by gangs that use the open borders to disappear.

It involves the states bordering the Netherlands and Belgium North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony and Rhineland-Palatinate. Only in North Rhine-Westphalia saw the police the number of burglaries grow by more than 18 percent last year.

The agreement must next month already resulted in joint inspections.
