Germany agrees with migration pact Marrakesh

The German Bundestag has approved the UN Migration Pact and sees nothing in it that undermines or changes existing law in Germany.

After the debate, 372 parliamentarians voted for the pact Thursday, 153 voted against and 141 abstained. The Social Democrat Minister of Foreign Affairs, Heiko Maas, stressed that the international agreement wants to reduce illegal immigration in particular, and he believes Germany can benefit from this.
