Gang traded in travel documents

The Greek police have rolled up a gang that has stolen passports and other travel documents on a large scale and resold them to migrants.

During a house search in seven houses, the police found 939 travel documents, 620 of which were registered as lost or stolen in affected countries. The gang members filed documents with pickpocketing on the street, in public transport and through burglary in cars. At the house searches, items were also found to forge documents.

The detainees are six Algerians, three Syrians, a Tunisian and a Palestinian.
