The entrance of the store is filled with towels, cleaners, clothes and toys, all donated by locals. Owner Jim McIngvale is also known as a very generous person besides his great commercials. 'We drove our trucks through the water to save people,' he says to CNN.

According to him, he had to. 'We brought about two hundred people here, they could nowhere else. 'Now the evacuees can take on brand new sofas or king beds.

'We have never just taken a step in this furniture shop and he just opens the doors to us. That's incredible, 'said one of the evacuees. McIngvale also pays the portable shower cabinets so that they can be cleaned for the first time in days.
