Freak accident: mother and son die because of snow falling from the roof

A drama in the snow in northern California.

Olga Perkovic and her Aaron Goodstein returned from a ski trip when the tragedy occurred. The mountain of snow, with the size of a big truck, came down on the duo. They were buried under almost a meter of snow.

Rescue workers searched hours for the missing skiers. Initially, the ski area was inspected, especially in the area where the two used their passes for the ski lift last. Eventually, the victims were only found after neighbors noticed the drama after finding ski gloves.

If the temperature rises after heavy snow showers, it is more common for shifting snow masses to make victims.
