France takes in 78 refugees Aquarius

France has decided to include 78 refugees who were on the rescue ship Aquarius.

The migrants are mainly from Eritrea and Sudan. They were classified as vulnerable on Thursday according to the French agency for refugees. The refugees are now housed in various French regions. The Aquarius is located in the port of Marseille.

Italian interior minister Matteo Salvini of the anti-immigration party Lega refuses to allow ships from private aid organizations that rescue refugees in the Mediterranean to Italian ports.
