Former President Peres back in hospital

Shimon Peres is Sunday again hospitalized.

Peres will spend the night for security at the hospital. The expectation is that there is no intervention is required.

Last Thursday, the former politician ended up already in the hospital after a mild heart attack. There he was successfully treated with a narrowing of a heart artery. Peres was staying after surgery a few more days for observation in hospital in Tel Aviv.

The former president is still working for the Peres Peace Centre, which is dedicated to the life side by side with Israelis and Palestinians and for the development of the Middle East.

The Polish-born Peres won the Nobel Peace Prize for his role in the interim peace accords with the Palestinians in 1993. He was twice prime minister and president from 2007 to 2014.
