Five new names on Crimean sanction list

Because of their involvement in organizing the Russian presidential elections on the Russian-annexed Crimea, the European Union has put five new names on the sanction list.

The five are no longer welcome in the EU and their European bank balances are frozen because they 'actively support and implement policies that undermine the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine'.

There are now 155 people and 38 organizations on the sanction list. The EU also imposed restrictions on trade with the Crimea. There are also economic sanctions against Moscow because of his involvement with Ukraine. They will expire on July 31, but are expected to be extended for that time. Russian President Vladimir Putin was the winner of the March 18 elections.
