FBI conducts research on Cambridge Analytica

The FBI and the US Department of Justice are investigating Cambridge Analytica.

Cambridge Analytica became discredited when it turned out that it had put its hand on data from tens of millions of Facebook users. The data company announced earlier this month to close its doors. Customers would have turned their backs on the company because of the fuss.

Prosecutors have spoken with possible witnesses in recent weeks. The researchers also contacted Facebook, a source told the American newspaper. The social network company did not want to respond. Whistleblower Christopher Wylie, a former Cambridge Analytica employee, confirmed that the American authorities had contacted him.
