Fatty child Alfie is not allowed to go to Italy

The seriously ill British child Alfie Evans can not be treated in Italy.

The child suffers from a rare degenerative brain disorder. British judges ruled earlier that it is pointless to treat him further because there is no hope of recovery. The children's hospital in Liverpool has already turned off the equipment that Alfie kept alive.

The boy's fate has caused a stir both inside and outside of Britain. The Italian government had recently given Italian Italian nationality. At the request of the Pope, an air ambulance would also have been prepared to transport the child.
