Father of Pac-Man deceased

The Japanese Masaya Nakamura, the father of the game Pac-Man, is deceased at the age of 91.

Nakamura died on January 22, the company said.

Nakamura founded the company that later became known as Namco in 1955. It started with two electric rocking horses on the roof of a department store in Yokohama. Later play cabinets came with that.

The Pac-Man was introduced in 1980, a yellow dot which weghapte opponents, was an instant success.
