Fatale hooded collision gear Lion Air

It is almost certain that the air disaster with a brand new Boeing 737MAX from the Indonesian prize fighter Lion Air last week is due to a fatal 'cover' by the pilots.

That says the Dutch aviation expert Benno Baksteen, himself a retired KLM captain. According to him, a cover or 'stall' is created if an aircraft has too little speed during take-off, as a result of which the aircraft does not have enough air pressure under the wings to stay in the air. 'That is real crisis management, because the device suddenly falls out of the air uncontrollably. It requires optimal skill of pilots to cope with that threat. '
