Facebook is building new server park in Ireland

Facebook puts over 200 million euros in a new server farm near the Irish capital Dublin.

The server farm is the second Facebook data center outside the United States. In 2013 the social network opened in a server park in the Swedish Lulea. There, now employs about 150 people, but for Ireland, Facebook has bigger plans. Ultimately, 2,000 people in jail can in the US tech giant.

A Facebook spokesperson said that the company wants to invest in Europe, so that Europeans can reap the benefits of success of Facebook. In practice, the other one and also possibly something to do with possible new European legislation that forbids American companies to store European data in the US.
