Ex-terrorist Battisti on his way to Italy

The Italian ex-terrorist Cesare Battisti (64) is on his way to Italy, the Italian Minister of Home Affairs, Matteo Salvini, twittered on Sunday.

He was a member of a communist terror group in the 1970s. In 1988 he was sentenced to life in Italy for committing four political assassinations. After escaping from prison, he lived in France until 2004. He fled to Brazil when he threatened to be extradited to his native country. In December, a Brazilian judge ordered his arrest, but then Battisti had left the country again.
