Ex- dictator sees Suu Kyi future leader

Myanmars former dictator Than Shwe sees his former foe Aung San Suu Kyi,null, the future leader '' of the country and promised to support her.

Than Shwe led a military junta until he stepped down in 2011. Many, however, believe that behind the scenes he still has a lot of power. Under his regime was the then opposition leader Suu Kyi under house arrest. But last month, her party won the first free elections in 25 years.Under the constitution, however, they can not become president of the country, not even now that her party has won a majority. And constitutional amendments are not currently possible without the support of the army. It was unclear whether the comments by Than Shwe call entailed changing the constitution so that the president can be Nobel Prize winner.
