Evacuations due to large forest fire Germany

A large forest fire southwest of Berlin led to the evacuation of two villages on Thursday evening.

How many people had to seek a safe haven is not exactly known. In the meantime, 300 hectares have already gone up in flames. The population of the region is advised to keep windows and doors closed because of the smoke development.

The fire started Thursday afternoon and spread quickly. The extinguishing activities are made more difficult because there is still a lot of ammunition in the ground in the area.
