EU leaders meet for two days in Brussels

The 28 EU leaders meet on Thursday and Friday in Brussels.

On Thursday at 15.00 hours the summit will begin with an 'exchange of insights' with the chairman of the EU parliament, Antonio Tajani. Half an hour later, the first working session begins on economic and social issues, migration and the trade relationship with America.

At 7.00 pm EU President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker will give a press conference, for dinner from 19.30 hours. There the leaders talk about Turkey, taxes and, according to the British, Russian attack on Skripal.

The summit will resume on Friday without May at 9. 00 am. The 27 assess the agreement this week reached on a transition period after the Brexit in 2019. They also determine their strategy for the future relationship with London.

The leaders of the euro countries will speak about the future of the euro zone from 11:30 am.

At 13.30 a press conference of Tusk and Juncker is planned.
