EU: hundreds of border guards to Balkan Region

The European Union wants for Wednesday to send more than four hundred border guards to the Balkans and Southeast Europe to get the refugee crisis in the region under control.

The border guards should be used, inter alia in Slovenia, the EU has asked for help. They also need to ensure that the borders between Greece, Albania and Macedonia are better monitored. In addition, the number of controls along the Greek coast should increase significantly.

The countries in the region must work together and communicate much better, it says in the draft text. When a country can not cope with the flow of migrants, it must within 24 hours to ask for help. Continue to promise all countries in the region that they go much more seriously started with the registration of migrants.
