EU citizens can say about summer time

Residents in the EU can express their opinions about summer time in their own language until 16 August.

The European Commission has decided to do so at the request of the European Parliament. In February, Parliament adopted a resolution urging Brussels to further investigate the pros and cons of the system, with the clock moving forward one hour in March and back in October.

According to the opponents, the arrangement disturbs the biological clock of humans and animals. In the Netherlands, for example, the CDA and the PVV want to get rid of it.

The outcome of the European survey counts in the decision to abolish or maintain the system across the EU.
