Erdogan threatens US with measures to Gülen

The Turkish president Erdogan threatens to stop handing over suspects to the United States.

Erdogan complained that his country has so far sent 'twelve terrorists' to the US without Gülen in return. He reproached the Americans with excuses. The president said that he would no longer deliver 'terrorists' if 'you did not give him to us'.

The Turkish government keeps the Gülen and his movement living in the US responsible for the failed coup in 2016. At that time, insurgent soldiers tried in vain to oust Erdogan and his government. Gülen denies all involvement in the coup attempt.
