EP committee votes for the prohibition of pulse fishing

The European Parliament's Committee on Fisheries has, as expected, expressed support for the political agreement which prohibits pulse fishing on 1 July 2021.

The entire parliament gives an opinion about it over a month. Diplomats expect the agreement to be finally approved. The Member States voted in favor- despite Dutch resistance- last month. According to the new rules, 5 percent of the Dutch cutter fleet can continue to use pulse harness until mid-2021.
