The president now resides on the right bank Elyséepaleis, just one kilometer from the river, and on the other side of the Seine houses the Prime Minister at Hôtel Matignon, also not far from the stream. Numerous ministries are close to the Seine. The emergency plan provides for a spotless and dry running evacuation. This requires extensive preparations during the government of President Nicolas Sarkozy, the predecessor of the current head of state Francois Hollande, the magazine Le Point reported on Friday.
