Eighteen deaths from collision coach

A bus accident in China has killed at least eighteen people.

The wounded are hospitalized, reports the South China Morning Post. According to the newspaper, the bus crossed the median strip of a highway in the evening and drove on an oncoming truck. The coach company of the crashed bus was previously tapped by the authorities in Hunan because drivers were tired behind the wheel.

Accidents on the road are the order of the day in China. They are often the result of poorly maintained roads and tired drivers. The World Health Organization calculated that every year about 260,000 Chinese people crash into the road.
