Egypt continues to bump extremists in Libya

Egyptian fighter aircraft have launched new attacks on Islamic extremists in the Libyan city of Derna on Monday.

Objectives were command centers, training camps and arms stores. Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said Monday that training camps are a direct threat to Egyptian national security. The recent attacks on Coptic Christians show that extremists from Libya can strike in Egypt, the minister said at a joint press conference with his Russian official Sergei Lavrov.

Terrorist group Islamic State claimed last week responsibility for the murder of 29 Christians in the Egyptian province of Minya. Last month, IS already claimed two bombings on two churches in Cairo and Alexandria, which cost more than 45 people.
