Drunk Slovak runs away with a ballot box

The counting of votes cast in the first round of the presidential election in Slovakia was delayed by a bizarre incident on Saturday evening.

To check whether perhaps ballot papers had disappeared, the police interrupted the election procedure in the building for 1 hour and 16 minutes. The lost time had to be made up later. The National Electoral Council then announced that the first results could only be expected after 11 p.m. instead of 10 p.m. as intended. In another polling station, some delay occurred due to technical problems.
