Drunk pilot gets eight months in prison

A British pilot was sentenced to eight months in prison because he had gone down to work.

Witnesses had called the emergency number because the pilot's breath smelled of liquor. Agents caught the man in arms and took him out of the cockpit for the eye of bewildered passengers. He turned out to have more than four times the allowable amount of alcohol in his blood. The pilot's lawyer later stated that his client had drunk to fall asleep for the approximately twelve-hour flight.
