Dozens of people were killed by storm in Madagascar

A cyclone that rages across Madagascar has killed at least 29 people so far.

The storm Ava severely attacks the island state on the African east coast. More than 17,000 people have been evacuated. Due to heavy rainfall, there are floods in the east of the country and in the capital Antananarivo that paralyze public life. Due to a landslide in the village of Ivory, seventeen people were killed on Tuesday.

Madagascar in the Indian Ocean is one of the poorest countries in the world. It has 25 million inhabitants.
