Delay Brexit encounters resistance Brussels

The request of British Prime Minister Theresa May to postpone the Brexit until 30 June is met with opposition in Brussels in connection with the European elections.

May does not want her country to participate in the European elections again. She writes this in her letter to EU President Donald Tusk asking for an extension of Article 50, which regulates the withdrawal of a Member State. According to her, participation is not in the interest of the United Kingdom or the European Union.
