Deaths from air attack on prison in Syria

Certainly sixteen people have been slain Friday during a raid on a prison in the Syrian province of Idlib controlled by rebels.

Idlib is one of the main strongholds of the rebels trying to overthrow the regime of President Bashar al-Assad. The Syrian air force, backed by Russia, performs regularly bombing in the area in northwest Syria.

The Observatory says it has received information that was shot a number of casualties when they tried to flee the prison after the air raid.
