Deaths by explosion of fuel line now 94

The death toll due to the devastating explosion of a fuel pipeline in Mexico has risen to 94.

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced a comprehensive package of social measures to counter the theft of petrol by tapping pipelines. The municipalities facing this problem, he promised almost 180 million euros in total.

In the city of Tlahuelilpan, several hundred people came to a line on Friday in which a leak had arisen to refuel free of charge. An unknown explosion followed a huge blast of 20 meters high.
