Deaths by car bomb attack in Somalia

By an attack with a car bomb in the Somali capital Mogadishu least 35 people have been slain Sunday.

Nobody has claimed responsibility for the attack. According to an eyewitness, the market was blown away by the bomb. The attack occurred a few days before the inauguration of the new president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.

Somalia has been embroiled for more than 25 years in a bloody civil war between clans and the country has to do with active jihadists. Many hope to reunite and to provide a functioning government, the new government manages the country.
