Deadly cyclone Africa above 150

The death toll as a result of the tropical whirlwind Idai that struck southeastern Africa in recent days has risen to more than 150.

At least 40 people died in Zimbabwe, many as a result of drowning. Other sources already speak of 64 deaths. Especially in the east of the country, numerous homes and bridges have been swept away by the cyclone, which previously also struck Mozambique and Malawi. According to the latest media reports 66 and 50 bodies, respectively, have been recovered there.
