Dead by tropical storm on Philippines
The tropical storm Kai-Tak, which ravaged parts of the Philippines during the weekend, killed at least seventeen people.
The rain also caused considerable flooding. The authorities evacuated a total of more than 40,000 people as a precaution.
The storm moved from east to west across the Philippine islands and declined Sunday evening. The nuisance caused by precipitation, according to the meteorologists, continues for a while. They provide heavy showers until Thursday.
