Dead and wounded by big New York fire

In a major fire in the New York district of The Bronx at least twelve deaths occurred.

People died on different floors. The victims vary between the ages of one and fifty. Mayor Bill De Blasio traveled to the scene of the disaster and was informed of the situation there. He spoke of a tragedy, one of the worst fires the city has seen in a long time.

The fire brigade reported on Twitter that 160 firefighters helped put out the fire. On photos you can see how ladder cars try to reach the various houses. The fire department saved twelve people from the building.

What the fire has caused is not known.
