Curved forest goes viral

A bizarre forest with all curved trees goes viral on Facebook.

The Krzywy Las (curved forest) in Poland was planted in 1930. Still no one understands why these 400 trees have grown completely crooked.

Locally, there is a story that furniture makers or shipbuilders would have influenced growth in order to be able to cut straight wood. Another explanation would have been a violent blizzard in the West Pomerania region, which allowed the young planting curve to grow.

The reason for the new interest are the images that nature photographer Kilan Schoönberger recently shared on Facebook. 'I have seen many nature reserves in Europe, but this is surely the most unique'.
