Crash possible due to incorrect speed data

The crash of the passenger plane on Sunday at Moscow may have been caused by instruments indicating incorrect speeds, reports the Russian news agency TASS.

The AN-148 aircraft was on its way from Moscow to the Russian provincial city of Orsk and was operated by Russian Saratov Airlines. During all the other fifteen flights registered on the flight recorder, the heating of the measuring equipment was switched on before the start, according to the researchers.

Approximately 2.5 minutes after the start an emergency situation developed on board the aircraft. At that time, the flight recorders of the passenger plane registered different values of the speed sensors, according to the report.
