Court increases punishment for mes attack on agents

The court of appeal has a Belgian who in 2016 attacked two agents in the Brussels municipality of Schaerbeek with a knife and sentenced to a prison sentence of fifteen years.

D. gets a heavier sentence because according to the court there was an attempted murder. In his previous conviction, the court only assumed deliberate blows and injuries.

On October 5, 2016, the fourteen attacked two officers in the street with a knife and put one in his neck and the other in his stomach. In attempting to keep the former military and former boxer, a policeman who was running in had a broken nose. Five agents were needed to hit D. in the chains.

The prosecution also argued that the man had a terrorist motive, but the court did not consider this to be proven.
