Countries respond to North Korea rocket test

With the latest provocation of North Korea, which once again fired a ballistic missile, Pyongyang ignores 'China's wishes and his highly respected president.

The South Korean presidency, Moon Jae-in, said through her spokesman the test an 'exercise in futility.' 'She called on the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, to quit provocations and cooperate with the international community.

A source within the US government indicated that such action of North Korea was anticipated, leading to the South Korean presidential elections held on 9 May.

Japan condemned the launch and once again made it clear that this is against UN resolutions.
