Controversial slaughterhouse Tielt fight closure

The controversial slaughterhouse gets in Belgium Tielt to court to reopen.

Weyts closed the slaughterhouse Thursday after gross abuses came to light. He wants an audit of all slaughterhouses in Flanders by an independent body. He does so in response to widespread outrage over the atrocities in the slaughterhouse. The minister also wants the official eye animal welfare in slaughterhouses loves getting a more independent position.

From images last week showed the group Animal Rights, shows that employees seriously mistreating pigs. The meat was sold by Dutch butchers, but where and how much is unclear.
