Congressman paid off with a public money harassment case

An American Congressman, accused by an ex-employee of sexual intimidation, for example, immediately resigns.

Blake Farenthold announced his resignation Friday, reports CNN. The Republican committee that selects candidates for a place in the House of Representatives has reclaimed the amount that Farenthold paid the former employee. It would be 84,000 dollars, almost 70,000 euros.

The ethics committee of the House had started an investigation at the end of last year into the accusations at his address. Farenthold had already announced that he would stop after his term, but on closer inspection, he thinks it is better to resign immediately.
