JERUZALEMHet Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, where according to tradition Jesus was buried before his resurrection, will be unveiled Wednesday after nine months of repair work to the public.

At the opening ceremony is an advance in the Holy Sepulcher, the site where the tomb is located. The church stands in the walled Old City of Jerusalem. The restoration of the grave came just in time, according to experts, is threatened to be made a prolapse. The reopening will take place in the presence of the Patriarch Barthelomeus I, leader of the Orthodox Christians and a representative of the Roman Catholic Pope Francis.

The money for the restoration has been raised by the six religious groups which are jointly responsible for the Holy Sepulchre Church. The church is built on the site where Jesus was crucified and buried both.
