College boss VS away after sex scandal

The president of a university in California steps up after a scandal around a former gynecologist at the university.

The University of Southern California (USC) reached an agreement with gynecologist George Tyndall about his dismissal after an internal investigation, but did not inform the justice authorities or medical authorities about it. The university has acknowledged that after at least eight complaints between 2000 and 2014, the response was poor. Two hundred professors had demanded the resignation of President Max Nikias in an open letter to the board. The board of the university asked him to resign, according to US media Saturday.

At least seven women have filed a complaint against Tyndall, who worked at the health center of the university. Among other things, he would have done vaginal examinations without using gloves and vulgar language.
