Civil killings in suicide bombing in Iraq

A suicide attack north of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, killed nine civilians on Sunday.

Similar attacks have been more frequent in Iraq in recent months. In most cases, the Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization claimed the attacks. IS is under severe pressure in the country and also appears to be suffering in its last bulwark Mosul by the Iraqi army. From Baquba, the jihadists were expelled in January 2015.
