The Chinese authorities have executed a notorious serial killer and rapist who has killed at least eleven women.

Gao committed the killings between 1988 and 2002. Most of the victims were in their twenties, but he also killed an eight-year-old girl. The serial killer followed women home and struck there, often in broad daylight. Many victims reportedly wore red clothing.
