Chinese activist is on parole

The renowned Chinese human rights lawyer Pu Zhiqiang was Tuesday sentenced to a suspended sentence of three years.

Pu had to appear because he had criticized on social media on the Communist Party and the policy on Muslim Uighurs. The lawyer since his arrest has been about nineteen months in jail.

The activist is according to his lawyer Shang Baojun Tuesday released. He said he would like to thank everyone and want to rest , Shang said. Pu did not intend to appeal. He reacted according to his lawyer relieved at the verdict. He also said that if the opportunity arises, the history a real verdict will sheets.
